General Description:
- Oversee and manage the portfolio of programmes, projects and initiatives in alignment with Daman's strategic objectives and direction
- Develop and champion the overall project management discipline and practices within Daman from initiation and planning through to execution and closure

Main Duties:
- Work with the Director Corporate Strategy, Daman C-Levels and other key stakeholders to define and maintain the governance model, mandate and structures surrounding project and portfolio management in Daman
- Support and manage decision-making by Daman leadership on all new project proposals and ongoing projects, as well as the overall portfolio
- Develop, maintain and operate project and portfolio prioritisation methodologies, tools and practices
- Review and assess programme and project proposals for alignment to strategic objectives, deliverability, resourcing, governance and management procedures, and accuracy of financial and non-financial benefit estimates
- Manage, monitor and report performance, outcomes, budgets, resources, schedules and other key metrics for the portfolio of programmes, projects and initiatives to Daman leadership and across the organisation as needed
- Identify, mitigate, escalate and resolve portfolio and project risks and issues in conjunction with Project Managers, Business Units and Daman leadership
- Develop and maintain project and portfolio management tools, templates and processes
- Define requirements for and administer operation of Project and Portfolio Management Software to facilitate management, tracking and reporting of programmes, projects and initiatives to stakeholders
- Provide periodic and ongoing support, training, coaching, mentorship and guidance to current and potential Daman Project Managers on all aspects of Project Management from inititation and planning to execution and closure
- Oversee and manage periodic and on-demand project audits to ensure consistent and high quality, as well as adherence to schedules, timelines, budgets, outcomes and benefits
- Schedule, allocate and deploy a centralised pool of trained and competent Project Managers to Daman Business Unit and cross-functional projects as needed
- Support and guide the procurement of programme and project management services as needed

Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, minimum 5 years of which should be in a management/supervisory role
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management certification
- PgMP or equivalent Programme Management certification is a plus
Bachelor degree in any field; Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems and Project Management backgrounds preferred
- Master degree is a plus


- Dynamic, self-driven with strong business understanding and background
- Strategic thinking with strong focus on results and high quality of work, and able to think out of the box
- Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
- Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is a plus
- Continuously acquire and refresh functional knowledge, skills and competencies
- Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solbing skills
- Flexible and able to work under pressure
- Respect and promote trust and confidentiality
- Strong level of customer serivce orientation and professionalism in all interactions
- Very good knowledge of Project Management practices, processes and approaches
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project); knowledge of Project and Portfolio Management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of health insurance concepts is a plus
- Very good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experienced in managing a multi-cultural environment and promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing to achieve goals and deliverables
