Located on Yas Island, Yas Marina Circuit (YMC) captured the imagination of the world when it debuted on 30 October 30 2009 with the final race of the FIA Formula One World Championship - the inaugural Formula 1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - to a capacity crowd of around 50,000. The second Grand Prix on 14 November 2010 was another sell-out success.
The purpose-built circuit, set amid the clear turquoise waters and mangroves of Yas Island, offers a unique combination of facilities: a state-of-the-art F1TM circuit, multiple track configurations, two race control and pit areas, five covered grandstands, a racing school, state-of-the-art media centre, drag racing centre, karting track and much more.
Whether you are a racing fan, driver, track-day enthusiast, corporate entity, conference organizer or casual visitor, Yas Marina Circuit is designed to provide you with a delightful and memorable experience. In addition to the annual Formula 1TM race, the circuit also hosts some of the world’s leading motorsports events, including GP2, GT1, Australian V8s, UAE Touring Cars, Formula Drift and drag racing.
Right next door is the iconic Yas Hotel, a luxury marina, yacht club, six other hotels, the Yas Links golf course and the Ferrari World indoor theme park. The international airport is close by and only 25 minutes away is the thriving city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, largest of the seven Emirates and one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in the world.
Yas Marina Circuit is owned by the Executive Affairs Authority of the government of Abu Dhabi and operated by Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM).
