The position objective is to take responsibility for the full A-Z recruitment cycle of the designated area within the Khalifa University portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilites:
Liaise with the hiring departments to gain thorough understanding of position requirements, candidate profiles and work closely with them to meet their recruitment targets;
Responsible for coordinating a large recruiting pipeline through creating sourcing methodology;
Write advertisements for the web, newspapers and other print media. Vet the ads with the hiring departments;
Use creativity and innovation in the job ad content;
Design and or revise recruitment related forms and prepare other recruitment material such as brochures;
Manage, coordinate and or participate in external recruitment events, locally and possibly internationally;
Act as a point of contact with all recruitment related external agencies; participate in contract negotiations and management
Screen candidates and make recommendations for candidate suitability to the hiring departments;
Lead the recruitment team to schedule interviews for short listed candidates
Ensure that appropriate panels are selected for all interviews where there should be a minimum of three persons on any panel
Act as an ambassador for Khalifa University, role-modeling professionalism. Ensure that candidates are met by a recruitment team member on arrive for interviews. Ensure professional follow-up after the interview. Send out regret letters to unsuccessful applicants and candidates ensuring that an appropriate communication is received by each person;
Ensure completeness of all required documentation for hiring selected candidate. Ensuring candidate queries are answered with professionally and promptly throughout the recruitment and on boarding process;
Work with the PRO, to process employees (and their dependents) for visas and clearances.
Work with the Manager, Administration to relocate candidates hired from overseas;
Ensuring the application tracking system (People Admin) is updated of all recruitment activities.
Maintain Excel spreadsheets on position vacancies and status of the recruitment for each in the HR Shared Drive;
Provide assistance to new employees and participate in University employee orientation program.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimium of four (4) years work experience within a recruitment function.
Experience as an internal recruiter within an Educational Environment is highly desirable although not essential.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio · Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
Ability to work under pressure within a fast paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
High levels of customer service skills are essential.
Ability to work in fast paced pressurized working environment.
Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research was inaugurated on 13 February 2007 by the President of the UAE: His Highness Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The board of Trustees which is chaired by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces was announced on 26 February 2008. KUSTAR is an Abu Dhabi Government initiative and is owned solely by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The University opened its new interim campus in Abu Dhabi on October 2008 to add to the campus in Sharjah (formerly Etisalat University College). The university's permanent Abu Dhabi campus is currently being developed. The Sharjah branch campus has a very proud 18-year history and on 11 February 2008 was merged with the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research.
