Job Description

Plan and supervise the execution of all Work Request related to In-house fabrication/Welding activities for routine maintenance and minor modifications • Having good knowledge of fabrication processes and principles (welding, cutting, pressing, gas/plasma cutting works, fit up work etc.) • Expertise knowledge in Tools required for Fabrication and working knowledge of ASME Codes • Solid blueprint interpretation skills and well versed with engineering drawings • Planning and Organizing, Scheduling and Co-coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities of Fabrication/ Welding to the assigned staff to meet functional objectives • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant Fabrication/Welding skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the Section objectives • Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards • Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices and comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards and best practices. • Supervise the fabrication group to ensure that the maintenance activities are performed in compliance with related standards and approved procedures and drawings. • Prepare job plans ensuring all material and manpower requirements are met by fully utilizing the MAXIMO/ CMMMS System and to supervise the execution of the Work Request received through CMMS- MAXIMO. • Ensure availability of proper equipment, material and consumables for all the activities follow approved method of statements, WICS to ensure quality on the performed job. • Prepare PTW based on the job schedule, job plans, allocate work, initiate near miss reports and conduct toolbox meetings to ensure understanding of the daily work tasks. • Develop and implement appropriate fabrication techniques to ensure accuracy, productivity and level of product standard are met. • Perform dimensional check on fabricated items/assembly to ensure compliance to drawing tolerances and detail requirements. • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices • Provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives • Carry out the activities in safe manner by applying strictly the Hazard control Measures identified in HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) and follow tool box talks and encourage fellow workers to comply with.
