Job Description

The Head of Strategic Alliances is responsible for working closely with the Senior Executive Management Team (SEMT) to develop plans and lead the implementation of key initiatives that emerge from the strategic planning process. He/she will manage all the new initiatives and projects of ECAE and ensure they meet their objectives and are within budget and timelines.

Specific Accountabilities
-Develop and manage assessment, evaluation projects, and measurement systems for the institute and its partnership initiatives, with attention to student/participant learning, community impact, and institutional impact in both academic and co-curricular spheres.
-Manage all aspects of evaluation project execution, including evaluation project development, implementation, and data analysis.
-Recommend new initiatives / projects in line with the ECAE strategy and gets the same reviewed and approved by relevant authority.
-Formulate strategies for projects and initiatives of ECAE, including expansion of projects and initiation of new projects.
-Develop appropriate policies and procedures for the operations across projects.
-Plan for the implementation of the projects or initiatives of ECAE including development of budget, timelines, public relations initiatives, and coordination across departments and any external agencies to be hired etc.
-Provide advice and guidance to the Vice Chancellor and the Senior Executive Management Team on the College’s progress in delivering its strategic plan and on operational activities as well as contributing to the business planning process for the Division and the College as a whole.
-Oversee the implementation of the projects and monitors their costs and timelines.
-Ensure appropriate control mechanisms are in place within the projects operations.
-Review invoices from the vendors related to projects and forwards to appropriate authority for approval.
-Guides and nurtures the projects towards the achievement of planned strategies including coordination of required support from the Support Services Departments and Faculty in terms of resources and services.
-Serves on committees and councils as directed by the Vice Chancellor.
-Monitor and evaluates the performance of his/her direct reports.

Generic Accountabilities
Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as requested by the Vice Chancellor.


Master’s degree in Business Administration or relevant.
8-10 years’ experience in projects management (preferably educational projects) in the GCC of which a minimum of 4 years at a Senior Management level heading the function.
