Project Manager (UAE national Only)

Job Description

1. Competent Project Management skills

6. Problem Solving: Well-developed conceptual analytical, research and evaluation skill, including the ability to provide innovative thinking in solving complex problems

8. Sound knowledge of national and international education and training systems and recognition issues, including in particular vocational education and training
9. Sound knowledge of the issues associated with interrelationships with the labor market, the national economy, and general sectorial and community issues

17. High level skills and experience in Project Management best practice, such as PMI

1. Effectively apply recognized PM methodology and enforce project standards
2. Liaise with entities PMO or PMs for guidance, reporting and support as needed
3. Monitor and assist to ensure projects are on track and managed risks
4. Produce progress reports feed into Project Portfolio Manager Dashboard
5. Ensure all lines of communication are constantly maintained
6. Utilize an escalation process for issues & high risks
7. Facilitate training sessions with entities, associates and others as needed
8. Understand the financial models and ensure program owners are within budget
9. Conduct evaluation sessions upon project completion and lessons learned
10. Minimizes exposure and risk on projects
11. Guidance, coaching and training for Associates
12. Create a climate which encourages excellence
13. Pragmatic use of program/project management disciplines to bring tangible benefits to the business at lowest possible cost in shortest possible time
14. Participate in a cultural change to create an understanding with professional approach
15. Promote and share best practices in project management.

ACTVET oversees a number of entities that provide accredited educational and vocational training programs, in line with the best international standards, to prepare students for the labor market. The entities consist of the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) and the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT).
ACTVET Core Activities:
Devise strategies and policies related to technical and vocational education and training;
Provide consultation, educational and training courses to public and private institutions in the Emirate;
License vocational and technical institutions in line with applicable laws, regulation and accreditation;
Developing strategies and mutually beneficial partnerships with public and private education companies and bodies, as well as with training institutes;
Guide and assist Abu Dhabi Government and private institutions on technical and vocational education and training;
Undertake original educational research in coordination with other Government bodies.
