Job Description
The role is responsible to independently maintain all respiratory therapy equipment and tools. Takes lead in maintenance initiatives whenever required.
Provides technical support as per established policies, procedures and local protocols
Maintains respiratory care equipment, including appropriate handling of pressurized gases.
Makes proper documentation of all respiratory treatments and procedures carried out.
Responsible for cleaning, processing and sterilization of all non disposable respiratory care devices
Sets up and delivers all respiratory treatments and procedures according to local guidelines and as advised by clinical staff
Assists in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (if requested)
Skills
Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties
Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience, maintaining records for ordering and replenishments
