Job Description

 Implementation of a Benchmarking projects which will provide guidelines for core business activities gain local and international best practice to enhance Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s operational performance

Quality Assurance
 Develop and maintain a process for achieving high quality and disseminate to Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s staff with on-going monitoring to ensure this is being implemented

Risk Management
 Develop, implement and maintain a process which aims to help understand, evaluate and take action on all the risks with a view to increasing the probability of their success and reducing the likelihood of failure. Ensure that Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s staff are aware of the Risk Management in their own areas and mitigation is implemented as appropriate.

Policies and Quality Standards
 Define and documenting a quality policy and quality objectives and ensuring that both the policy and objectives are understood and implemented. For example ISO standards.

Excellence Awards
 Implement the Excellence Awards Programme which entails several different roles including building excellence team, communicating the award to all staff through proper channels, organizing self- assessment and assisting the team in writing the submission and compiling it. In addition, launching and managing Internal Awards

 Report to the Manager on a daily basis about all aspects of the projects under implementation by the teams to keep the Manager updated on progress.
 Seek the advice, guidance and intervention of the Manager to overcome a challenge or delay that may hold up the project and prepare regular MIS data and reports on project progress for the Manager for ready reference.

Contact and Coordination with Internal Departments
 Maintain effective coordination and regular contact with all relevant internal departments of the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s to progress the agenda of specific teams.
 Participate in cross-functional, inter-department meetings and workshops to work together with shared understanding of plan outcomes and expectations.

Project Team Management
 Work closely with team members assigned to own project and ensure they are given clear instructions about the work.
 Guide team members wherever necessary and resolve day-to-day project management issues.
 Seek the guidance of the Manager for resolution in case of a technical issue or problem.
 Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures for work and people management and monitor their adherence so that work is conducted efficiently.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
 Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
 Follow all Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s policies and procedures in particular UPC Code of Ethics.

Continuous Improvement
 Contribute to the identification of Training and coaching subordinates and opportunities for continuous improvement of unit/department systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.


 Bachelor Degree in Economics or Urban Economics or Real Estate from a recognised academic institution. Higher degrees will be an added value.
 6+ years’ experience for UAE National
 In relevant industry.
