Job Description

o Day to day assistance for Contracts Administration/Contracts Management. o Contract Documents compilation and review o Review proposals and assist in LOA-/LOI review o Review contracts and contract status in coordination with line manager and prepare grounds for Addendums drafting and preparations. o Provide support in Contractual Correspondence o Contributes to and reviews the scopes of work and contract conditions. o Participates in the assessment and evaluation of Tenders for the selection of contractors and consultants when needed, o Assesses, reviews, and advice in respect of contractor and consultants claims for variations, progress claims and extensions. o Ensures that all commercial and contractual requirements of the contracts are satisfied. o Review and analyse Contractors claims and variation orders, negotiate with Contractor, and facilitate contract dispute resolutions, analyse and rebut claims from others. o Evaluate quantities and rates. Prepare rate analysis as and when needed o Reviewing invoices and payment certificates for conformance with the contract condition o Maintaining, distributing and controlling all the contract documents with proper references and keep recording. o Manage and Maintain logs for contracts, variations, payments, etc. o Understanding of contract related processes, terms and procedures, Variation claims, preparation of justification, etc. o Reviewing Contractor proposals and negotiate as and when needed, Prepare and formalize requirements to process contract variations and maintaining information essential to the Administration with Summary of each contract o Insurance and Guarantees monitoring adherence to contract provisions, maintaining expiration schedule renewals and maintenance log. o Reporting any issue or comments related to the contract o Liaising with Legal, Insurance and Finance as and when required o Generate reports when needed. o Undertakes similar or related tasks as directed by the line Manager. o Liaison with Project Manager, Legal department and others to analysis, preparation of responses, negotiation and settlement of all contractual disputes with clients and Consultants/Contractor. o Highlighting any major commercial or contractual risks or issues in the contract and during its execution to the Projects Managers and working with them to ensure managed and properly mitigated. o Co-ordination and delivery of ZAPIA and departmental initiatives as required by Management e.g. systems and procedures, lessons learned.


o An understanding of the purpose of ZAPIA, its mission and outline function of each department within the organization. o Good knowledge of/fully conversant with relevant norms, standards and procedures o Good knowledge of and relevant experience on large scale construction contracts, and be capable of ensuring the compatibility of the Conditions of Contract used for the various works that will be procured (for example FIDIC) o Conversant with modern project and construction management techniques, work programming, cost estimation, measurement/payment certification, and dealing with claims/dispute resolution, utilizing advanced computerized applications associated therewith o Advanced computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint o Ability to function effectively under pressure and use initiative in problem solving o Give attention to details, be meticulous, with a sense to follow up and good reporting skills o Capable of quickly assessing a situation and making appropriate decisions o Good Communication Skills o Excellent written and verbal in Arabic and English
